Sometimes it saddens me…
That my family knows virtually nothing about what I’m really like in the realm of politics, religion, social issues or even my favorite TV shows and music artists. How is it that you can be a totally different person in front of those that you’re so comfortable with? Is it that I’m uncomfortable voicing my opinions on social issues and politics or that in my family if you have a different opinion you’re belittled? I think its the latter of the two, which is unfortunate. I vow to let my children choose to believe whatever they want about politics or religion or important social issues. I will try my best to keep from imposing my belief system upon them. I still reserve the right to show them the ways of good music, good movies, good people and good times, though. :)
